A few days ago we reported that the production of the next "budget flagship" of Samsung Galaxy S21FE are accompanied by problems. Now, other not very encouraging news has leaked into the air – according to them, the Korean technology giant is considering whether to launch the phone at all.

About that Galaxy The S21 FE may not be launched at all, ddaily.co.kr reported with reference to an unnamed Samsung representative. The official told the site that the Korean giant had planned to launch the phone in mid-October, but ultimately canceled the event. Currently, the company is said to be "reviewing the launch as such".

According to the site, there could be two reasons why Samsung might be considering a cancellation Galaxy S21 FE. The first is the ongoing global chip crisis and the second is the very good sales of the flexible phone Galaxy Z flip 3; the latter is reportedly selling much better than Samsung expected. The new clamshell "jigsaw" also uses the Snapdragon 888 chipset, and given the circumstances, it would be logical for Samsung to use its limited stock on the currently "hot item".

It seems that the Korean smartphone giant does not want to multitask and that it wants to spend its marketing resources on a third Flip. It's also possible that, with the recent introduction of the iPhone 13 and the upcoming Pixel 6, Samsung isn't sure if its new "budget flagship" would be as successful among them as it envisioned.

If Samsung decides Galaxy If the S21 FE is not cancelled, it will likely have a very limited availability so that the company will still have enough Snapdragon 888 chips for the Flip 3. According to unofficial reports from the beginning of the summer, the phone will only be available in Europe and the US.
