Samsung continues to roll out the November patch to more devices. One of his latest addressees is the "budget flag" Galaxy S20 FE.

New update for Galaxy The S20 FE (in the version with the Exynos 990 chipset) carries the firmware version G780FXXS7CUI5 and is currently distributed in various European countries including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Albania, Germany, Austria, Switzerlandcarska, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy or Portugal.

The November security patch includes Google fixes for three critical vulnerabilities, 20 high-risk vulnerabilities and two moderate-risk exploits, as well as fixes for 13 vulnerabilities found in smartphones and tablets Galaxy, of which Samsung labeled one as critical, one as high risk, and two as medium risk. The patch also fixes 17 bugs that are not related to Samsung devices. The Korean tech giant also fixed a critical bug that caused sensitive information to be stored insecurely in Property Settings, allowing attackers to read ESN (Emergency Services Network) values ​​without permission. And last but not least, the patch also resolved bugs caused by missing or incorrect input checks in HDCP and HDCP LDFW, which allowed attackers to override the TZASC (TrustZone Address Space Controller) module and thereby compromise the TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) main processor secure area.

Samsung introduced Galaxy S20 FE last fall with Androidem 10. Even before the end of the year, he received an update with Androidem 11 and the One UI 3.0 superstructure and at the beginning of this year, then an update with One UI 3.1. It should receive at least two more upgrades in the future Androidua "until further notice" to receive monthly security patches.
