Even though Samsung has been rolling out the November security patch to its devices for several weeks now, it is still rolling out last month's security patch to some smartphones. One of its latest recipients is last year's mid-range phone Galaxy A42 5G.

New update for Galaxy The A42 5G carries firmware version A426BXXU3BUI5 and should be available in all European countries at this time. While we don't currently have a changelog for it, it's likely that it will include general bug fixes and stability improvements.

As a reminder, the October security patch fixes a total of 68 security and privacy-related exploits. In addition to the fixes for the vulnerabilities provided by Google, the patch includes fixes for more than three dozen vulnerabilities that Samsung found in its system. The patch includes bug fixes for 6 critical and 24 high-risk vulnerabilities.

If you haven't received the notification about the new update yet, as always, you can check its availability manually by opening Settings, by tapping the option Software update and selecting an option Download and install.

Galaxy The A42 5G was launched in November last year with Androidem 10. At the beginning of this year, it received an update with Androidem 11 and the One UI 3.1 superstructure.
