As you may know, Samsung removed in the spring Galaxy S8 to Galaxy S8 + from your software support list. However, the Korean smartphone giant surprised everyone in September when it released a new security patch for the nearly five-year-old phones. And now he started releasing another update on them.

New update for Galaxy The S8 and S8+ carry firmware version G95xFXXUCDUK1 and users in France are getting it at the moment. It could expand to more markets in the next few days. The update brings a month-old security patch.

As a reminder, the November security patch includes Google's fixes for three critical vulnerabilities, 20 high-risk vulnerabilities, and two moderate-risk exploits, as well as fixes for 13 vulnerabilities found in smartphones and tablets Galaxy, of which Samsung labeled one as critical, one as high risk, and two as medium risk. The Korean giant also fixed a critical bug that caused insecure storage of sensitive information in Property Settings, allowing attackers to read ESN (Emergency Services Network) values without permission. In addition, the patch addressed bugs caused by missing or incorrect input checks in HDCP and HDCP LDFW, which allowed attackers to override the TZASC (TrustZone Address Space Controller) module and thereby compromise the secure core TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) region.

Galaxy The S8 and S8+ were launched in April 2017 with Androidem 7.0 Nougat. In 2018, the phones received an update with Androidem 8.0 and another year later update s Androidem 9.0 and the first version of the One UI superstructure.
