At CES 2022, Samsung unveiled the Samsung Home Hub – a new way to manage home appliances using an innovative tablet-shaped touchscreen device that provides instant access to customizable and connected home services. Samsung Home Hub offers better connectivity with a range of smart home appliances and uses artificial intelligence and the SmartThings platform to recognize users' needs and automatically provide them with the right solutions. Thus, it helps people to make household chores and other tasks more efficient through a shared device that all household members can access.

By connecting Samsung Home Hub with smart home appliances in every corner of the house, you can now manage your daily routine, manage chores and take care of the household, all through a single device. As a home control unit, it gives you an overview of the entire connected home and allows you to have perfect control over everything.

Once launched, the Samsung Home Hub will be able to connect to every product within the SmartThings ecosystem, including Samsung's smart appliances. Soon you will also have a direct connection to other compatible devices in the smart home system, such as lights or electronic door locks.

For the first time ever, a wide range of customizable SmartThings services based on artificial intelligence have been unified and can now be controlled from one dedicated Samsung Home Hub device. SmartThings services are divided into categories Cooking (Cooking), Clothing Care (Clothing Care), Pet (Pets), Air (Air), Energy (Energy) and Home Care Wizard (Household Care Guide).

To make meal prep easier, SmartThings Cooking makes it easy to search, plan, shop and cook throughout the week using Family Hub. When it's time to do laundry, the SmartThings Clothing app Care pairs with the appropriate appliances, such as the Bespoke washer and dryer or the Bespoke AirDresser garment care cabinet, and offers you care options tailored to the type of materials of your garments, your usage patterns and the current season. The SmartThings Pet service allows you to control your pet using the smart camera on the Bespoke Jet Bot AI+ robotic vacuum or change the settings of appliances such as the air conditioner to make the environment as pleasant as possible for them.

SmartThings Air can connect with air conditioners and air purifiers so you can control the temperature, humidity and air quality in your home according to your preferences. Energy consumption is monitored by the SmartThings Energy service, which analyzes your habits when using appliances and helps reduce energy bills using an energy saving mode equipped with artificial intelligence. And to keep everything under control, the SmartThings Home function Care Wizard monitors all smart appliances, sends alerts when parts need to be replaced, and offers advice if something isn't working.

The Samsung Home Hub is a special 8,4-inch tablet that you can use whether it's placed in its docking station or you're walking around the house with it. For easy voice control, the Samsung Home Hub has two microphones and two speakers so you can use voice commands for the Bixby assistant and listen to notifications. If you have a question, just ask Bixby. The device's microphones are very sensitive, so even if the Samsung Home Hub is placed in a docking station, it can pick up spoken commands from a greater distance.

For its innovation, Samsung Home Hub received the CES Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) ahead of CES 2022.

The Samsung Home Hub will be available from March first in Korea and then worldwide.
