Samsung showed us some really cool machines last year, including the latest folding devices and of course the model Galaxy S21 Ultra. Advice Galaxy The S22 promises to keep what worked on its predecessors, but at the same time increase performance, and at least in the case of the S22 Ultra, it's supposed to bring back some features that were once exclusive to the Note series. Here's everything we know about Samsung's 2022 flagships so far.

As in the last few years, Samsung should stick to three models this year: Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra. While the first two devices look like improved variants of last year's versions, the S22 Ultra has a completely new design, making it the most interesting phone of the bunch.

Galaxy S22Ultra

At first glance at this 2022 Samsung flagship, one thing is clear: it's actually a rebranded Note. With its boxy design and dedicated S Pen slot, the S22 Ultra looks almost identical to the Galaxy Note20, especially from its front side. The rear panel, meanwhile, ditches the S21's signature camera port and replaces it with a smooth piece of glass, with four lenses protruding above the surface of the device independently of each other.

The design of the S22 Ultra model was controversial from the first sight, mainly because some leakers could not completely agree on what its camera module would actually look like. Fortunately, we've already seen real-life photos of a pre-production model that more or less confirm the design of Samsung's 2022 flagship.

For all those who are still holding out hope that the Note will return, we have bad news and good news. As it looks like, he won't really be coming back. On the other hand, the S22 Ultra model will fully replace it, just with a different name. But maybe not completely, because there is still speculation that Galaxy The S22 will not carry the Ultra moniker, but the Note. There should be three colors: white, black and dark red.

Galaxy S22 and S22+

The first renders from September gave us our best look yet at the pair of phones, showing off the improved look of their predecessors. Unlike the Ultra, the S22 and S22+ also retain the camera output to help protect the lenses. Even the camera LED is likely to stay in the same place as last year. The rounded corners will also be preserved. The back should be glass.

Not that there's anything wrong with reusing a design with improved specs, as it's common practice with Apple and its iPhones. With this, Samsung could also create its own specific design, which iPhones have had for several generations. The colors should be white, black, rose gold and green.

Specifications

Like most 2022 flagships that will carry the OS Android, there will be a turn Galaxy The S22 in the US and most of the rest of the world primarily use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, an Exynos version is also expected, which, unlike previous years, will be much more geographically limited. While the UK and European markets will use the Exynos 2200, the Asian and African regions will switch to Qualcomm. It looks like the S22 Ultra will come with 1TB of internal storage (512GB is a certainty), while recent rumors suggest 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Which is a bit strange since the S21 Ultra came in a 16GB RAM configuration. However, the magazine is also behind it GSMarena.

Galaxy The S22 is the smallest of the series and its display should have a relatively small 6,06" diagonal. The smaller dimensions also come with a smaller battery, so its capacity is expected to be 3590 mAh. However, the S21 model was equipped with a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. However, it is available here informace they are breaking up. Model Galaxy The S22+ could have a 6,55" screen and a 4800mAh battery. Galaxy The S22 Ultra should offer a 6,8" diagonal of its display, while its battery could have a capacity of 5000 mAh.

At least the Ultra could boast 45W fast charging, which was already part of the S20 model almost two years ago, before it was kind of forgotten with the latest generation. Wireless charging should be 15W, reverse charging should be 4,5W. Not much news is expected from the cameras, so the existing ones will generally only be decently improved.
