As you may recall, Samsung was supposed to officially unveil its new Exynos 2200 flagship chipset today. But that won't happen, at least according to respected leaker Ice universe.

According to him, Samsung decided to postpone the presentation of the Exynos 2200 indefinitely. At the moment, we can only speculate when we will finally see the long-awaited chipset (we noticed the first mention of it less than a year ago). However, given that the series Galaxy S22, which is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2200, should be launched in early February, it is likely that the chip will be introduced in the next few weeks. The now-legendary leaker also noted that last November, Samsung had planned to unveil a mid-range chipset to the public Exynos 1200, but eventually canceled its launch. Earlier it was speculated that Samsung has problems with production, more precisely with low chip yield, but it is not clear if this is the reason for delaying the Exynos 2200 (or canceling the presentation of the Exynos 1200).

The Exynos 2200 will apparently be manufactured using a 4nm process and will receive ARM's new processor cores - one super-powerful Cortex-X2 core with a frequency of 2,9 GHz, three powerful Cortex-A710 cores with a clock speed of 2,8 GHz and four economical Cortex-A510 cores with frequency of 2,2 GHz. The main "pull" will be a GPU from AMD, built on the mRDNA architecture, which according to a recently leaked benchmark it will offer about a third higher graphics performance than the graphics chip in the chipset Exynos 2100.
