Although the Tizen operating system is one of the of the world's largest smart TV platforms, its smartphone variant has only been surviving for a long time. Now this version got the last nail in the coffin - Samsung closed the Tizen Store.

As the website reports SamMobile, the Tizen Store has been closed for quite some time, specifically since December 31 last year. Users who used the store until now can no longer download or update applications from it. However, these users will most likely be very few - it was Samsung's last Tizen-based phone Samsung Z4, which was already staged in May 2017.

That begs the question of what will happen to Tizen-powered smartwatches. Last summer, Samsung launched at all the first watch with an operating system Wear OS 3 from Google, in whose development he also participated. It is not excluded that in the future the Korean technology giant does not count on deploying its aging system in watches.
