When Microsoft introduced in the middle of last year Windows 11, has promised that its new operating system will support it androidapplications. Now Google has finally launched the first beta version of the Google Play Games store for selected users.

The first beta of Google Play Games is currently available specifically to users in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan. Other countries should follow soon. The beta includes a total of 12 games, including Asphalt 9, Gardenscapes or Homescapes.

Games will be playable on touchscreens as well as using a keyboard and mouse, and Google promises "uninterrupted gaming sessions between phone, tablet, Chromebook and PC with Windows". Players will no longer lose their game progress or achievements when switching between devices, everything should work with the Google Play Games profile.

Minimum requirements to run Google Play Games on Windows are: Windows 10 in v2004 and later or Windows 11, an octa-core processor, a "reasonably powerful" graphics card and an SSD with a minimum free capacity of 20 GB. If Google on Windows will also make non-gaming accessible androidov applications, or intends to limit support only to games, is not clear at this time.
