About a month ago, Samsung and the Discovery Channel released a short documentary called Eye to Eye With a Tiger that was filmed entirely with a smartphone Galaxy S21 Ultra. Now, Samsung has taken its flagship out into the wild again, this time to showcase the capabilities of the Expert RAW app, designed for professional photographers.

Expert RAW captures 16-bit RAW files with an integrated profile for the Lightroom photo editor and a useful button for exporting files to it.

The manual controls offered by the app are essential in some scenes of the video shot by wildlife photographer Shaaz Jung. This is, for example, focusing on a small spider hanging on a web using the focus peaking function. Manual focus is enabled by all four rear cameras.

As we reported not long ago, the Korean tech giant is scheduled to release an update for the app this week, which will bring performance improvements and fixes for known bugs, such as a faulty informace about the shutter speed when taking pictures with a long exposure time. If you are the owner Galaxy S21 Ultra, you can download the app here.
