Last year, WhatsApp introduced a feature that allows Samsung smartphone users to transfer data from devices running the system iOS. This feature is not yet available for other smartphone brands with the system Android, than which are Samsung and Google. With the exception of a few Pixel phones, this feature remains exclusive to the Galaxy ecosystem. But it doesn't have to be long.

In fact, they were found in the new beta build of the WhatsApp application new informace suggesting that the Meta-owned (formerly Facebook) messaging app could soon offer data transfer capabilities from iOS multiple devices with the system Android, which are not made by Samsung or Google. While that would be great news for third-party smartphone users, it's bad news for Samsung itself.

Those who really care about WhatsApp data and wanted to escape from Apple's ecosystem had no choice but to do so with Samsung, which could clearly profit from it. In the future, however, the door will open to other brands as well. Of course, one could not expect that Samsung would always have this exclusivity with Google, and it is therefore a relatively logical step. However, the date when WhatsApp will take this step is not yet known.
