Samsung is reportedly working to speed up the firmware update process for European device owners Galaxy. In connection with the release of the phone Galaxy A52 the South Korean giant has made some changes to the way it distributes firmware in the old continent, where the device is no longer tied to the identity of Samsung's firmware binaries, or Country Specific Code (CSC). Now it looks like Samsung will expand this strategy to other phones in the future, which could lead to faster firmware updates and easier access to firmware betas.

Until last year's release Galaxy A52 were firmware updates for phones Galaxy associated with CSC in individual European countries. Galaxy A52 was the first smartphone to have the same CSC in different countries of the old continent i.e. "EUX" followed by "Jigsaws" Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3.

According to a Dutch website Galaxy Club, SamMobile is citing, Samsung is now developing "EUX" firmware for several upcoming smartphones Galaxy only in Europe, which means he could fully switch to this new strategy.

In theory, this could mean that Samsung will speed up the firmware update process for European owners of these smartphones. Fewer CSCs should mean that the Korean giant won't have to develop as many firmware versions for the same update, and in theory could be a way to get updates to market faster. In addition, reducing the number of CSC releases could allow customers in more countries to join early beta programs of future updates.
