Title Google Translate is getting new widgets with a Material You design flavor, probably without the need to update the app. This is because the widgets are already present in the app, but not yet unlocked for use by the general public. It is thus reminiscent of the situation with the release of a new widget YouTube Music a few months ago.

When the Translator widgets will actually be officially released is anyone's guess. Mishaal Rahman informed about their presence on the Twitter social network. He mentions that these should be widgets providing saved translations and quick actions. He also provided screenshots of both yet-to-be-released widgets here.

Saved translations give you instant access to translations you think you'll use often. They are in a scrolling list with handy buttons for copy and voice translation. The Quick Actions widget looks quite dynamic, with several layouts depending on how big you choose to make the widget on your home screen. It can offer app shortcuts, voice translation, conversation mode, camera translation, and more.

Both of these widgets adopt the colors of your wallpaper and thus visually try to fit better into the appearance of the system. However, it can easily happen that they will stand out a bit among those who have not yet adopted the Material You design language. As usual, Rahman managed to modify his device to display the widgets, but normal users, that is us, will have to wait. Let's just hope it won't be too long.
