One of the things that at the event Galaxy Unpacked did not surprise, the AMOLED displays of the series were brighter Galaxy S22. There was speculation about them already in December of last year, and today the company actually confirmed these leaks.

Advice Galaxy So the S22 actually has brighter screens. Well, not quite. Models Galaxy The S22+ and S22 Ultra are indeed equipped with improved display panels, while the base model Galaxy The S22 retains the same 1/000 peak brightness levels as last year's Galaxy S21. Higher models, however, can reach a maximum brightness value of up to 1 nits.

As explained back in December, this unprecedented level of "peak" brightness can only be achieved under certain conditions, such as when auto-brightness is on. In manual mode, users can Galaxy The S22+ and S22 Ultra use a brightness level of "only" 1 nits. However, a high maximum brightness level does not always guarantee the best image quality. Color reproduction and accuracy can suffer here.

Advice Galaxy The S22 mitigates these issues through a technology the company calls vision booster. Its purpose is to first analyze the brightness level of the surrounding environment and then remap the tone of the image while adjusting the screen brightness to maintain color accuracy even in highly lit areas. This smartphone duo not only has the brightest display used in mobile devices, but also uses advanced technology that ensures unrivaled image quality in all lighting conditions. Whether all this will work in the real world remains to be seen, of course.
