Galaxy A51 is undoubtedly one of Samsung's best and most successful mid-range phones - it offered an excellent mix of specs and features at a more than reasonable price. Since this smartphone is over two years old, it's time for Samsung to update its software support. However, many owners of this phone will not be happy with the new change.

Galaxy The A51, which received the February security patch a few days ago, will now receive security updates only twice a year, up from every three months until now. It is interesting that the variant with support for 5G networks is not affected by the change, it remains in the quarterly update cycle. Samsung did not state why it made this decision, and it is very likely that it will not state, because it has never commented on similar changes in the past. In this context, it is worth recalling that the Korean giant provides its smartphones with security updates for four years (on a monthly, quarterly and half-yearly cycle). Galaxy The A51 will therefore receive them for about two more years.

Let's also remind that Galaxy A51 should get a stable version of z in the coming weeks Androidat 12 outgoing superstructures One UI 4.0. The phone will get one more major system upgrade in the future.
