When Samsung announced its flagship lineup last week Galaxy S22, claimed that all of its new smartphones feature LTPO OLED displays. She also stated that the models Galaxy S22 to Galaxy The S22+ have a variable refresh rate of 10 to 120 Hz, while the model Galaxy The S22 Ultra is supposed to range from 1 to 120 Hz. However, now it seems that the manufacturer himself somehow does not know what these frequencies actually are.

A few days after the event Galaxy Unpacked 2022 which the phone was on Galaxy S22 to Galaxy S22+ introduced, Samsung has turned it into its own press release variable refresh rate data from 10Hz - 120Hz to 48Hz - 120Hz. Does this mean Samsung originally lied about the display specs, or was just unsure of its own product? Its website for German market (where, like here, the version of phones with the Exynos 2200 processor is sold) still indicates 10 Hz to 120 Hz, it is no different even in the Czech one.

But according to popular leaker Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) can do Galaxy The S22+ can operate at up to 24Hz with static content on the home screen, which means the phone would be worse than Samsung originally declared, but better than it does after its press release fix. She's with the model Galaxy The S22 Ultra hasn't changed anything, and it still lists a range of 1 to 120 Hz.

So where is the truth? Apparently, even Samsung doesn't know it. And it's a bit of a problem. Even though the higher frequencies are more visible to the human eye, the lower ones have an effect on the durability of the device. And the difference between 10 and 48 Hz is significant. For models Galaxy In addition, Samsung has reduced the battery capacity of the S22 and S22+ compared to the previous generation, so there may be trouble here.

Newly introduced Samsung products will be available for purchase, for example, on Alza
