As you probably know from our previous news, at the beginning of January, Samsung presented a long-awaited smartphone Galaxy S21FE. According to the reviews so far, this is a very good phone, although of course its price could be a little lower, even considering the newer series Galaxy S22. In addition, it has now become clear that it has certain problems with the display.
Some users Galaxy The S21 FE has been complaining for some time on Samsung's official forums that the phone's refresh rate drops well below 60Hz from time to time, which is said to cause noticeable lag and "choppy" animations. Apparently, the problem concerns the variant with the Exynos chipset (how else).
Galaxy The S21 FE doesn't have a variable refresh rate (ie it runs at either 60 or 120 Hz), so it looks like it's a software issue that will be fixed through updates. However, this has not happened yet. In the meantime, the website SamMobile came up with a temporary solution to the problem - it is said that all you have to do is turn off the display and turn it on again. But this solution assumes that everything is fine with the hardware that drives the display and that this is really a software issue. If it was a hardware problem, the only solution would probably be to replace the device.
If you are the owner of Samsung's new "budget flagship", have you experienced the problem described above? If so, let us know in the comments.
I have the snapdragon 888 variant and would really appreciate it if samsung would improve the battery life instead of stupid security patches which is terrible. It could help, for example, to drop the software from 120Hz to at least 60Hz, because everything runs at 120. I hope they think of it and do something about it, I know a lot of mobile phones that don't have an LTPO display, but the manufacturers supplied them with this reduced (from 120Hz to 60Hz and sometimes even at 90Hz).
