On the eve of the opening of the MWC 2022 trade fair, Samsung presented a new series of its own Galaxy Book laptops. After having achieved considerable success with a 30% increase in sales in the segment of premium computers, Samsung quite logically wants to get even more. And it has something, because in the new machines it brings up to 21 hours of battery life, Windows 11, 12th generation Intel processors, Wi-Fi 6E and S Pen support.

He was the first to be announced Galaxy Book2 Pro a Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, i.e. the duo of the most traditional products in the range. Both laptops are equipped with a 13,3 or 15,6" FHD AMOLED display and with Intel Evo i5 or i7 processors of the 12th generation and 8, 12 or 32 GB of RAM, while the maximum storage capacity here is up to 1 TB. It can also be expanded using a microSD card. In terms of ports, both laptops are equipped with a headphone jack and USB Type-C connectors, one of which supports Thunderbolt 4. Charging is 65W, and the power button has an Apple-style integrated fingerprint reader.

As the designation of the computers suggests, the difference between them is mainly in the design, where you can use the Pro 360 as a 2-in-1 device. It has a touch screen with support for input using the S Pen. However, this comes at the expense of weight, as the 13" version of the Pro 360 weighs 1,04 kg compared to 0,89 kg for the regular Pro model. Even in a number of computers, Samsung uses plastic parts from discarded fishing nets, which we already know from the series Galaxy S22. Specifically, it is a touchpad holder.

The company also announced a 13,3" model Galaxy Book2 360, which is the least equipped of the three, even though it also provides S Pen support in the Windows 11 and applications for Android. Otherwise, it can be configured with 12th generation Intel i3, i5 or i7 processors, 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 256, 512 or 1 TB of storage. All models offer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, while only Galaxy The Book2 Pro is equipped with an optional 5G connection.

Samsung laptops then provide users of the company's other devices with added value in interconnectedness. This is not only in the possibility of using the S Pen, but also in the form of advantages derived from the partnership between Microsoft and Samsung, when it is mainly about cross-platform compatibility.

The pre-sale of the novelties starts on March 18, and their sharp start of sales is planned for April 1. Basic model Galaxy Book2 360 starts at 900 dollars (approx. 20 thousand CZK), Galaxy The Book2 Pro 360 will cost $1 (approx. CZK 050) and the Pro23 model will cost $2 (approx. CZK 1). As you may have guessed, Samsung does not officially distribute its computers in the country (well, at least for the time being).
