At the ongoing MWC 2022, Realme introduced a new UltraDart fast charging technology that will allow smartphones to be charged with a power of 100 to 200 W. The upcoming mid-range phone will be the first to use it Realm GT Neo3.

Specifically, the Realme GT Neo3 will support UltraDart charging with medium power, i.e. 150W, which will still be a record in the world of smartphones (according to previous leaks, it should support "only" 65 or 80W charging). Let us remind you that Samsung's fastest chargers have a power of 45 W.

Existing phones using Dart technology (on which the new UltraDart technology is based) charge between 18 and 65 Watts. The best of them can be fully charged in 35 minutes. UltraDart technology wants to go much further, or below. Its goal is to enable charging from zero to 50% in just five minutes. To do this, Realme uses several booster charge pumps to increase the current.

The Temperature Management Algorithm function ensures that the battery temperature does not exceed 43 °C during charging, even if the user simultaneously uses the chipset at full speed, for example by playing a hardware-intensive game or watching a long video. In the long term, high-quality lithium batteries will still retain 80% of their capacity even after more than a thousand charging cycles thanks to the Ultra Battery Protection system. Which Realme phone will then support the top 200W UltraDart charging is not known at the moment, but it is likely that we will see it later this year.
