When Samsung did not list the successor of the model Galaxy Note20, it meant that users will have to say goodbye to the advantages of the S Pen, i.e. the main weapon of the series against its competition (and its own stable in the form of a series Galaxy WITH). However, at least a model came last year Galaxy S21 Ultra, for which you could get an S Pen and attach it not to the body of the device, but to a special case.
The company fully ironed out everything for fans of the Note series only this year, with the introduction of the model Galaxy The S22 Ultra, which takes over many of the Not's features, above all, of course, the integration of the pen into its body. This has two advantages. The first is that you already have the S Pen with the device when you buy it, and that you are not unnecessarily increasing the size of the device itself with a cover. Dimensions are what matters here
Because we currently have Galaxy S22 Ultra available for testing, we were able to compare both solutions. That is, to put the current novelty side by side with last year's Galaxy S21 Ultra with its special silicone cover and the optional S Pen. As you can see, the shape of the two smartphones is very different, even from the back, where the novelty lacks the massive output of the camera assembly, which is replaced only by the outputs of the individual lenses. But of course the main thing is the overall dimensions.

In the case of integrating the S Pen into the model Galaxy The S22 Ultra thus had to increase its width by 2,3 mm. But if you take into account the fact that in the case of last year's version in the silicone cover and the S Pen inserted into it, you reached a width of 84 mm, this is really a negligible increase. So even if you buy a really durable cover for the new product, the resulting combination will still simply be smaller than it is with Galaxy S21 Ultra. Since the devices have a very similar weight, but the novelty already includes the S Pen, it is obvious that the total weight of the novelty will also be lower (S Pen pro Galaxy The S21 Ultra weighs 4,47g).
However, it is true that the S Pen is a very distinctive device, the advantages of which are definitely not necessary for every user. Model Galaxy S21 gave you a choice, this year you are faced with a finished product. Thanks to the larger dimensions of the S Pen for last year's model, it is also evident that it is more comfortable to handle. So there are pros and cons on both sides.
