The world does not agree with the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and it tries to show it properly. After the imposition of many sanctions especially on the financial sector and the expression of technology companies such as Apple or even Samsung, that they will no longer deliver their products to the country, followed by various services limiting their activities on the territory of Russia. Social networks are then banned by the local government and censors.

Netflix

The American company Netflix, which is also the largest in the field of VOD services, has announced that it is suspending its services throughout the Russian territory due to disapproval of Russia's behavior towards Ukraine. Already last week, the streaming giant cut several projects that were intended especially for Russian viewers, as well as the broadcasting of Russian propaganda channels.

Spotify

This Swedish music streaming company has also limited its operations throughout Russia, of course due to the ongoing armed conflict. The Nexta platform informed about it on its Twitter. Spotify first blocked the content of the Sputnik or RT channels, saying that it contains propaganda content, and now it has taken the second step, in the form of the unavailability of the platform's premium services.

TikTok

Although the social platform TikTok is Chinese, and China maintains rather "neutral" relations with Russia, however, after the Russian president signed a law regarding fake news, the ByteDance company decided to prevent the possibility of live broadcasting and uploading new content to the network. Unlike previous situations, this is not because she is putting pressure on Russia, but because she is worried about her users and herself, because she is not entirely sure if the law also applies to her. In addition to financial penalties, the law also provides for 15 years in prison.

Since March 4, Russian residents cannot even log in to Facebook. So not that it was cut off by the Meta company, but by Russia itself. Access to the network was blocked by the Russian Censorship Office with information that it was dissatisfied with the news about the invasion of Ukraine that appeared on the network. As an additional explanation, it was stated that Facebook discriminated against Russian media. He really limited access to media such as RT or Sputnik, and that right away in the entire EU. However, Meta will try to restore Facebook again in Russia.

Shortly after the information about the blocking of Facebook, there were also those about the blocking of Twitter and YouTube. Indeed, both channels brought footage from the places of fighting, which, they say, did not present true facts for the Russian "audience".

World Wide Web

One of the latest reports talks about the fact that the whole of Russia wants to disconnect from the world Internet and operate only on that with the Russian domain. It is for the simple fact that the people of Russia do not learn any informace from outside and the local government could thus spread such informace, which currently fits her shop. It should happen already on March 11.
