Apple held its spring Peek Performance event on Tuesday where it announced a number of new products. It was about iPhone SE with 5G, new desktop Mac, external 5K display, but also new iPad Air 5th generation. It retains the price of the previous generation and is equipped with a chip Apple M1, i.e. the chip that powers even the latest iPad Pros, notebooks and desktop computers.
iPad Air with M1
The fact that the iPad Air for CZK 16 is as powerful as the iPad Pro for CZK 490 puts it in an interesting position. The iPad Pro has a better 22Hz display, more storage at 990GB (the base Air has 120GB), and better cameras, among other relatively minor perks like Face ID, etc. But storage aside, the iPad Pro already nothing particularly professional actually. Thanks to the integration of the M128 chip, all professional tasks that would otherwise be exclusively for the iPad Pro can now be performed just as efficiently with the iPad Air. The latter also gets the possibility of connecting to 64G and an improved 1MPx front camera that supports the Center Stage function (the previous generation had 5MPx).

The new Air is an attractive alternative to even the best tablets with a system Android, including the series Galaxy Samsung Tab S8. The basic Tab S8 model has a 120Hz display, it comes with a free S Pen, and the basic storage is 128G, but its price is also 19 CZK. iPad Air supports Apple Pencil 2nd generation, which separately costs CZK 3. Only the 490GB memory version is available, which costs CZK 256, for 20G in the iPad Air you have to pay an extra CZK 990 in any case. iPad Air is also compatible with great accessories Apple: any case or keyboard that fits the 11-inch iPad Pro or previous iPad Air 2020 will also fit the iPad Air 2022.
