Samsung's own web browser app is an alternative to Google's solution that many people use simply because it comes pre-installed on Samsung phones. However, anyone can download the Samsung Internet app as it is also available on Google Play, as well as its "Beta" mutation, in which the company is testing various features. And its new v17 version contains an interesting improvement in privacy protection in the form of Smart Anti Tracking using artificial intelligence.

It's actually a set of privacy measures that uses on-device machine learning to encode tracking cookies that it deletes on a weekly basis. Samsung also says that it has set Smart Anti Tracking as the default for devices in the US, Korea and Europe, so it will be on by default after installing the title. If you want to turn it off, you can of course do so in the settings. In connection with privacy protection, version v17 already has HTTPS as the default protocol for browsing the web. There's also a new privacy section that shows all the ways the browser protects you.

The latest version, which is rolling out to the world gradually, also offers several improvements to the user interface. If you use a lot of tabs, you will be pleased that the browser now supports its own groups of tabs, which you can organize with a simple drag and drop. Using a new integrated function Live text you can also select text in images. Just long press the element, select Live Text, and the phone will identify and copy the text to the clipboard for future use.
