Last week we reported that Samsung is working on a successor to last year's durable smartphone Galaxy XCoverPro. Now, the XCover Pro 2 has appeared in the Geekbench benchmark, revealing, among other things, what chipset will power it.

According to the Geekbench 5 benchmark database, the XCover Pro 2 will use an older, but still sufficiently powerful, mid-range Snapdragon 778G chipset (the upcoming Galaxy A73). In addition, the database revealed that the phone will be equipped with 6 GB of RAM and that the software will run on Androidu 12. In the single-core test it scored 766 points and in the multi-core test it scored 2722 points.

Nothing else is known about the phone at the moment, however it is more than likely that like other models in the series Galaxy The XCover will have a replaceable battery and IP68 degree of protection and MIL-STD-810G military standard of resistance. With regard to its predecessor, it can also be expected that the wine will receive an LCD display with a diagonal of at least 6,3 inches, at least a dual rear camera or a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. It is currently unknown when it will be released, but given that it has not yet appeared in any certification database, it probably won't be in the next few weeks.
