Google I/O is the company's annual event held at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. The only exception was 2020, which was affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This year's date is set for May 11-12, and even if there will be room for a few onlookers from among the company's employees, it will still be mostly an online event.

So everyone will be able to participate, and of course for free. This also applies to developers, who will be able to virtually sign up for many online workshops. Registration is in progress on the event website. However, the program of the event has not yet been announced, although it goes without saying that we will see an official presentation here Androidat 13 and quite possibly the system as well Wear BONE.

But historically, Google I/O is more than just a developer conference (similar to Apple's WWDC). Although software and developer talks are the main focus of the event, the company also sometimes unveils new hardware. For example, the Pixel 2019a was announced at Google I/O 3. Google may also release a beta version of the system here Android 13, as was the case with its predecessors in the past (a beta is already available for developers).

There is clearly speculation about the possibility of introducing the Pixel 6a smartphone, but also the Pixel watch itself Watch, as well as the company's first flexible device. Google I/O is, together with Made By Google, one of the two biggest events the company organizes throughout the year, and at least the main lecture with the introduction of news is worth watching if you are eager for new system functions.
