Did you know that Samsung recently announced three new mid-range phones? They are Galaxy A33 5G, A53 5G and A73 5G, although it really won't surprise anyone that you don't remember the A73. It was basically only mentioned in a footnote, and it doesn't seem that the company has any great interest in selling this phone. This is due to the fact that it will only be available in selected markets.

Galaxy The A73 5G shares many features with the lower Galaxy A53 5G. This is a 120 Hz display, water and dust resistance, four years of system updates Android and the One UI user interface, a battery with a capacity of 5 mAh. And then there's the A000's 108MP camera, which should be the main draw to buy it. This is the first time Samsung has introduced its 73MPx camera in a mid-range phone. And that sounds really cool. That is, until you take a closer look.

It's not about the number of MPx

The point is that Galaxy The A73 5G does not feature a zoom camera. Instead, it seems all Samsung cares about is talking about how it got 108 MPx into the mid-range. But is it really that much fame? Such a high number of megapixels does not bring much. So in this regard, Samsung is trying to get users used to telephoto lenses to start using digital zoom. And that's not good. However, why the device doesn't have a telephoto lens but a stupid depth sensor is obvious - it's about the price.

So it's a classic case of Samsung, or any other manufacturer, trying to use numbers to lure customers. Neither Galaxy A52 is compared Galaxy The A72, and actually even now, is not that different from the A73. The latter only has a slightly larger display and a main camera with a lot of megapixels, which in the real world will mean practically no added value.

Perhaps Samsung could change its strategy, where it would not have to release so many similar models with a minimum of innovation. He would have a clearer offer for the customer and a clear targeting of his portfolio. Although I was initially disappointed that Galaxy The A73 5G will not officially arrive in the Czech Republic, which is actually a good thing in the end.
