System Android is notorious for its security issues and flaws. Although Google has introduced many measures and features over the years to improve security and privacy on devices with the system Android, malicious content just keeps popping up. Now that's what happened with a photo app that can steal your personal data.

According to a new server report Bleeping Computer in an app called Craftsart Cartoon Photo Tools hides a trojan named "FaceStealer". It tries to ask you to add your Facebook username and password and then sends it to Russian servers. Of course, malware can also find out your credit card information, searches you type, private messages, and pretty much anything else it wants.

Company Pradeo mobile security agency discovered this app and its malicious activity last week, and of course Google removed the app from the Play Store afterwards. But he did not act too quickly and it may happen that many users still have this application installed. If you are among them, remove it from your device without delay.

This application has been installed on more than 100 thousand devices, which means that it is used by a really large number of users. If you've been using the app, you should also change your Facebook details and ideally add two-factor authentication to your accounts as well. Photo editing apps are very popular among smartphone owners. Many of these apps are also free to use, and unfortunately, many of them can also harbor malware that steals your data. So it is always safer to use only those apps that are developed by trusted developers.
