In the field of foldable smartphones, the Korean technology giant Samsung has been the clear number one for a long time. Chinese companies like Xiaomi or Huawei are trying to compete with it, but so far without much success (also because the availability of their "benders" is limited to China). The next player in this field will be Vivo, which has now revealed when it will launch its first flexible device.

Vivo's first foldable smartphone called Vivo X Fold will be unveiled on April 11. We could see the device not too long ago in a not very "revealing" photo from the Chinese subway, from which we could read that it folds inwards and that it does not have a groove in the middle.

According to unofficial information, the Vivo X Fold will have a flexible OLED display with a size of 8 inches, a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The external display will be OLED with a diagonal of 6,5 inches, FHD+ resolution and also a 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a quad rear camera with a resolution of 50, 48, 12 and 8 MPx, an under-display fingerprint reader (in both displays) and a battery with a capacity of 4600 mAh. There will also be support for 80W fast wired and 50W wireless charging. If the device is also available in international markets, Samsung's "puzzles" could finally have serious competition.
