If you're wondering how to save images from the gallery, it's simple. If you don't have it yet, download the extension from the Chrome web store Save image as Type. Now in the gallery, right click on the image you want to download, select the option Save Image As You Want and select an option from the menu Save as JPEG or Save as PNG.
After you've dragged your chosen image or images from your computer to your phone's Gallery, go to Settings→Background and Style→Gallery and select the desired image and select Done.
