A few weeks ago, we informed you that Samsung is working on a new rugged smartphone called Galaxy XCover Pro 2. It should be the Korean giant's first rugged phone with support for 5G networks. Now its first renders have hit the airwaves.

From the renders published by the well-known leaker @OnLeaks and the website zoutons.ae, it follows that Galaxy The XCover Pro 2 will have a flat display with relatively thick bezels and a drop-shaped cut-out and a vertically oriented ellipse-shaped photo module with two small sensors. It can also be read from the images that the phone will have a 3,5mm jack like its predecessor and a fingerprint reader built into the power button. It will reportedly measure 169,5 x 81,1 x 10,1 cm.

We know very little about the smartphone at the moment, according to "behind the scenes" information, it will be equipped with an IPS LCD display with a size of around 6,56 inches (the predecessor was 6,3 inches), a chipset Exynos 1280 ("number one" was powered by the Exynos 9611) and software-wise it will run on Androidu 12. With regard to the previous models of the series Galaxy We can expect the XCover to feature a replaceable battery and an IP68 degree of protection and the US military's MIL-STD-810G resistance standard. It should be launched sometime in the summer.
