Samsung has unveiled the latest addition to its line of smart monitors. The Smart Monitor M8 model impresses above all with its modern stylish design, slim design, UHD or 4K resolution and SlimFit camera in the basic equipment. There are four color variants (Warm White, Sunset Pink, Daylight Blue and Spring Green). The diagonal is 32 inches or 81 cm. The Smart Monitor M8 will be available in the Czech Republic from May in all colors and its recommended retail price is CZK 19.

The first models of the Smart Monitor series came to the market in November 2020. They soon gained great popularity as the first truly universal monitors in the world, suitable for work and home entertainment. And the M8 model goes even further. In addition to traditional functions, various streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ or Apple TV+. All you need to stream is Wi-Fi, you don't need a TV or a computer at all.

The Smart Monitor M8 is perfectly suited to work tasks of all kinds. It can become the centerpiece of a quality home office and doesn't even need a computer, as it can connect to many other smart devices using Smart Hub technology. Thanks to the Workspace user interface, windows from different devices and services can be displayed on the monitor simultaneously. Computer with Windows or MacOS, it is possible to connect to the monitor wirelessly in the same way as to display the contents of a smartphone, either using Samsung DeX or Apple Airplay 2.0. Last but not least, the monitor also offers Microsoft 365 for editing documents only on the monitor without a connected PC.
External camera included
Other great advantages include the magnetic, easily removable SlimFit camera. You attach it to the monitor and you can start a video conference without unsightly cables disturbing you on your desk. In addition, the SlimFit camera can track the face in front of you and automatically focus and zoom on it, which is useful, for example, during presentations or distance learning. Of course, there is also support for video chat applications such as Google Duo.

The equipment also includes the SmartThings Hub system designed for the communication of various devices within the so-called Internet of Things (IoT). The SmartThings app allows you to monitor various IoT devices (such as smart switches or electrical outlets) around your home and control them with a simple control panel. At the same time, everything necessary is displayed on the monitor informace from these devices. Another useful part of the equipment is the extremely sensitive Far Field Voice microphone, the Always On Voice function allows (when the Bixby service is activated) to display on the monitor informace about the current conversation, even when the monitor is turned off.
