As you probably know from our previous news, Vivo will soon introduce its first flexible phone, Vivo X Fold, which seems to have the potential to compete with Samsung's "jigsaw" Galaxy ZFold3. Now, a photo of its marketing stand in a brick-and-mortar store has leaked into the ether, confirming its key parameters.

Thus, the Vivo X Fold will boast an 8-inch flexible display with a 2K resolution, a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and an external display with a diagonal of 6,53 inches, a FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Qualcomm's current flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

The camera will be quadruple with a resolution of 50, 48, 12 and 8 MPx, while the main one will be based on the sensor Samsung ISOCELL GN5 and will have optical image stabilization, the second will be a "wide-angle" with a 114° angle of view, the third will have a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and the fourth a periscope lens with 60x zoom and optical image stabilization. The equipment will include NFC and support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard.

The battery will have a capacity of 4600 mAh and will support 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It will ensure the software operation Android 12. In addition, the marketing materials mention that the hinge of the phone can withstand 300 thousand opening/closing cycles (for comparison: u Galaxy The Fold3 is guaranteed 100 thousand cycles less) and that its display equaled or exceeded 19 records of the prestigious DisplayMate A+ certification. Vivo X Fold will be presented already on April 11, unsurprisingly in China. It is still unclear if it will arrive in international markets after that. If so, Samsung's "benders" could finally face solid competition.
