You may want to record someone how to activate a feature, you may want to record your gameplay, photo editing, or anything else. How to record the screen as a video on Samsung is not difficult, you can also edit such a recording and, of course, share it.
This guide is created on the phone Galaxy S21 FE p Androidem 12 and One UI 4.1. It is possible that on older devices with an older system, and especially on those from other manufacturers, the procedure is slightly different.

- Wherever you are on the device, swipe from the top edge of the display with two fingers, or one twice (also works in landscape mode).
- Find the feature here Screen recording. It is possible that it will be on the second page.
- If you don't see the function here either, click the Plus icon and look for the function in the available buttons.
- By long-pressing and dragging your finger across the screen, you can place the Screen Recording icon in the desired location in the quick menu bar. Then click Done.
- After selecting the Screen Recording function, you will be presented with a menu Sound settings. Choose the option according to your preferences. You can also display finger touches on the display here.
- Click on Start recording.
- After the countdown, the recording will start. It is during the countdown that you have the option to open the content you want to record without having to cut the beginning of the video afterwards.
Gallery
In the upper right corner, you will then see various options that will not be visible in the video and that you can hide with the arrow. You can draw in your recording here, you can also display the content captured by the front camera in the recording. There is also an option to pause the recording. The recording icon will also keep flashing in the status bar to let you know it's still in progress. You can end it either in the menu after swiping from the upper edge of the display, or by choosing in the floating window. The recording will then be saved to your gallery, where you can further work with it - crop it, edit it and share it.
Gallery
If you hold your finger on the Screen Recording icon in the quick launch panel, you can still set the function. This is, for example, hiding the navigation panel, determining the quality of the video or the size of the selfie video in the overall recording.
