Third time lucky. After Galaxy S22+ and top of the line in form Galaxy The S22 Ultra, the smallest novelty of this year's flagship portfolio of Samsung, arrived at our editorial office. Packaging Galaxy The S22 may not excite, but if you haven't had anything to do with its green color variant yet, you will.
Even in the Czech online store of Samsung, this color is called in English, i.e. Green. The device is otherwise available in white Phantom White, black Phantom Black and rose gold Pink Gold, in which we were able to test the larger model with the nickname Plus. But we can definitely say that compared to the boring black, with which we had the Ultra model, and yet more feminine pink, green is the most attractive of the entire portfolio.

It is rather darker than lighter, but plays with different shades in the light. The Armor Aluminum frame with the exit for the camera assembly is then slightly lighter than the glass back itself, which looks really good and breaks up the possible monotony. Of course, the shielding of the antennas can be seen if it bothers you, but it doesn't help you much, because it's a must for steel and aluminum phone frames, otherwise they wouldn't be able to receive a signal.

Packaging in captive standard
The small black box is clearly dominated by the designation of the S series, when this letter is displayed in the color of the phone. It is, after all, the same as with other models in the series. The device is adequately protected from all sides not only against possible micro hairs, but also against fingerprints. Separate foils thus cover not only the front and back, but also the frame itself.

Underneath the device, you'll find a paper box that contains a space for a SIM tray removal tool, and a USB-C charging cable and booklets are hidden inside. Anything more than this and you won't find the phone in the package, which probably isn't entirely surprising.

Although it is Galaxy The S22 is the smallest of Samsung's trio of new products, and it differs from the Ultra in many ways, it is not entirely true that it differs from the Plus model only in dimensions and battery capacity. While most of the specs like the cameras are really the same, Galaxy The S22 only has 25W cable charging. The larger model is capable of 45W, but as our tests have shown, this is probably not a limitation. Galaxy You can get the S22 in the 128/8GB version for CZK 21 or in the 990/256GB version for CZK 8.
The ultra with square frames in white is the best.
It's very subjective, everyone likes something different. In the flood of boring colors, it's nice to have a choice.
I've also had it at home for 2 days in the 256GB version.
I have to praise the compactness, compared to the previous S21, this model is very pleasant in the hand and I really enjoy the sharp edges!
I definitely don't regret switching from the S21.
How are you doing with the battery and charging/discharging? It seems to us that it discharges as quickly as it charges.
That's probably something wrong. I usually end the working day with 40% and an average of over 3 hours SOT. I had a maximum SOT of over 6 hours. Dual SIM, BT watch, lots of Spotify. I don't play much, 5G off on both SIMs.
