When Xiaomi introduced its new flagship Xiaomi 12 series in December, it was expected that alongside the 12X, 12 and 12 Pro models, the 12 Ultra model would also be launched, which should compete directly with Samsung Galaxy S22Ultra. However, this did not happen, and there was talk "behind the scenes" that it would arrive only in March. Even then, however, Xiaomi did not reveal it, after which speculation began about the third quarter. However, it seems that fans of the Chinese brand will not have to wait that long, as a trailer has now leaked into the air, which reveals that the expected smartphone will be presented before long.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be launched on the (Chinese) stage on May 10, according to a purported official trailer published by well-known leaker Ben Geskin. The teaser also confirms that the 'superflagship' will be powered by Qualcomm's next flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset. While the teaser looks convincing, it's not clear if it's genuine as it doesn't feature the phone itself.

According to available leaks, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will get a 6,73-inch E5 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate, a ceramic back, up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory, a triple camera with a resolution of 50, 48 and 48 MPx (the second will apparently be "wide-angle" and the third should have a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom) and a battery with a capacity of 4900 mAh and support for 120W fast charging. It is to be offered in white and black. International markets will apparently receive the phone with a delay of at least several weeks.
