Are you one of those smartphone users who are fundamentally against the use of covers due to their aesthetics and artificial increase in dimensions, or do you prefer to protect your device from damage in style? With PanzerGlass HardCase for Galaxy The S21 FE doesn't really matter which group you fall into, as it can satisfy both.

There is no need to argue that protective covers increase the dimensions of the device. It's logical after all. Because it also weighs something, this is of course also evident in the total weight of the device. But that usually ends the list of negative qualities. The main one is primarily the protection of the device, thanks to which you save considerable money for subsequent service, or the necessity of using an unsightly damaged device. In addition, the PanzerGlass HardCase is practical in many ways.

Transparent HardCase

There are an incredible number of types of covers, as well as their appearances. PanzerGlass HardCase ranks among the transparent ones. When someone mentions such a label in front of me, I usually get goosebumps because I associate transparent covers with the ugly and soft ones that turn yellow over time and are neither pretty nor useful. In order to distance itself from this variety, the reviewed cover already has the word HardCase in its name, i.e. hard case.

It is transparent, but that means here that it is a colorless transparent design. So it doesn't have any color that would somehow change that of your device, especially on its back. The cover is then made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and polycarbonate, where the majority of it is made of recycled materials. And you can read about its main advantages on the box.

Military standard and wireless charging

The most important thing you expect from a cover is probably to protect your device. The PanzerGlass enclosure is MIL-STD-810H certified, a United States military standard that emphasizes adapting the device's environmental design and test limits to the conditions the device will be exposed to throughout its lifetime.

Another advantage is compatibility with wireless charging. Thanks to this, you do not have to remove the cover from the device before such charging. The manufacturer also points out that the material used has the property that it does not turn yellow, which we alluded to above. So you can be sure that the cover will still look as good as after the first day of use. There is also antibacterial treatment according to IOS 22196, which kills 99,99% of known bacteria.

Easy handling

After removing the cover from its packaging, you have a drawing on it and an explanation of how to put it on and take it off the phone. Always start with the camera space. This is because, of course, the cover is the most flexible there, otherwise it is relatively stiff, which is logical from its name. The first time you might feel a little clumsy, but if you take the cover off and put it on more often, it's a breeze.

Due to its antibacterial finish, the cover contains a film that needs to be peeled off. It doesn't matter if you do it before or after you put the cover on. Rather, be careful not to touch the inside immediately and leave fingerprints on it. After unpacking the cover, it is like a magnet for fingerprints and dust particles, and due to its transparency, you can really see everything on the inside. It doesn't matter from the outside, it's somehow taken into account there, and you can easily wipe it here, for example, on a T-shirt.

Accesses and exits

The cover contains all the important passages for the USB-C connector, speakers, microphones and cameras as well as LEDs. The volume buttons and the display button are covered, so you press them through the tabs, if you wanted to get to the SIM, you have to remove the cover. If you were annoyed by how Galaxy The S21 FE wobbles when working on a flat surface, so the thickness of the cover completely limits this. Holding the device in the cover is then secure, as it does not slip in any way.

If we leave aside the excessive clinging of fingerprints on the back of the case, there is practically nothing to criticize. The design is as decent as it can be and the protection is the maximum you can get in the same price range. After all, the price of the cover is 699 CZK, which is certainly an acceptable amount for its characteristics. If you have a protective glass on your device (for example, from panzerglass), so they do not interfere with each other in any way. The cover is also available for the entire range Galaxy S22.
