Japan is widely regarded as one of the powerhouses in the field of robotics technology. Now it has been confirmed again, when the local "robot" entered the Guinness Book of Records.

A robotic penguin named Penguin-chan earned his place in the "Guinness Book" by jumping rope 170 times in one minute. The robot was developed by the Japanese company RICOH, which is known in the world and in our country mainly for its copiers and other office equipment. It includes the team PENTA-X, who previously created the jumping penguin doll, and Penguin-chan (full name Penguin-chan Jump Rope Machine) is a combination of five of these dolls.

Penguin-chan achieved the record under the supervision of a representative of the Guinness Book of Records. The official title with which he entered the book is "the most jumps over a rope in one minute achieved by a robot". It is possible to count on the fact that RICOH will continue to develop the technology behind the robot, and it is not excluded that it will see practical use. Although at the moment we can't imagine which one. Samsung is also heavily involved in the field of robots, which we also told you about recently informed. But the South Korean company relies on a much more practical use of them. They do not try to make similar single-purpose devices, but concentrate on their actual use, for example in households, where they can perform various jobs.
