Today, April 22, is Earth Day, and small and large companies alike are announcing how environmentally friendly they and their products are. It's a day when we should take personal stock of how much of our own technology we should be recycling as it nears its end-of-life.

Samsung, like for example Google, has recently focused more and more on the field of ecology. This is manifested, among other things, in the effort to use sustainable materials for its packaging and accessories. So for today's Earth Day, the Korean giant announced three smartphone cases and smartwatch straps, created in collaboration with well-known designer Sean Wotherspoon.

Samsung Galaxy x Sean Wotherspoon Sustainable Accessories Collection features 100% biodegradable and recyclable cases for last year's 'Flag' Galaxy S21 and smartwatch bands Galaxy Watch4, as well as watch faces matching them, which can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store. Both the cases and bands are offered in yellow, pink and mint and are covered with "love the planet" slogans, peace signs and drawings of our planet, the sun, flowers or bumblebees (in the case of the mint case and alligator jacket strap). The collection will go on sale today on Samsung's website and will cost $49,99 (roughly CZK 1). but it will most likely not be the case with us.
