Developers from the studio Niantic were able to revolutionize the use of augmented reality technologies in video games. Almost a decade has passed since their first venture using the aforementioned technology. What the studio started with work on Ingress, it almost perfected in the still extremely popular Pokemon Go. The fact that they work with proven licenses proves that they also proved it when reforging Pikmin or Harry Potter into the studio's well-known virtual form. But now, for the first time since their early days, they are venturing into their own brand. However, the planned Peridot game shares many features with Japanese pocket monsters.

In Peridot, you'll walk around the world collecting the titular virtual pets. Each of them should be completely unique. Cute animals will not only be original in their appearance, which is a cocktail of ready-made assets with randomly generated characters, but mainly in their properties. These are meant to be extremely detailed and mainly to help you crossbreed your current pets and create more interesting specimens in the next generation.

Crossing will take place in nests found during real world errands. Outside, your Peridots will be able to enjoy a variety of games and walks in a variety of different environments. We don't know exactly when the full version of the game will reach our phones. However, Niantic has announced that the beta version of Peridot will arrive this month.
