As you know, Samsung is the world's largest manufacturer of mobile photo sensors and its sensors are used by almost every smartphone manufacturer. In the past few years, the company has released a variety of large photo sensors, including the ISOCELL GN1 and ISOCELL GN2. This year, it developed another giant sensor, but it is exclusively intended for a competing brand.

Samsung's new giant sensor is called ISOCELL GNV and it seems to be a modified version of the mentioned ISOCELL GN1 sensor. It has a size of 1/1.3" and its resolution is most likely also 50 MPx. It will serve as the main camera of the "flagship" Vivo X80 Pro+ and features a gimbal-like optical image stabilization (OIS) system.

The Vivo X80 Pro+ is said to have three additional rear cameras including a 48 or 50MP "wide-angle", a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and OIS. The phone should be able to record videos in 8K resolution using the main camera and up to 4K at 60 fps using the other cameras. Its front camera should have a resolution of 44 MPx.

The smartphone will also use Vivo's proprietary image processor called V1+, which the Chinese smartphone giant developed in collaboration with MediaTek. This chip is supposed to provide 16% higher brightness and 12% better white balance for images taken in low light conditions.

The Vivo X80 Pro+ is not supposed to be a "sharpener" in other areas either. Apparently, it will boast a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6,78 inches, a resolution of QHD + and a variable refresh rate with a maximum of 120 Hz, up to 12 GB of operational and up to 512 GB of internal memory, resistance according to the IP68 standard, stereo speakers and a battery with a capacity of 4700 mAh and supporting 80W fast wired and 50W fast wireless charging.
