In early April, Samsung published its revenue estimates for the first quarter of this year. Today it published actual earnings for the period. It follows from them that its sales increased by 18% year-on-year and operating profit by a respectable 51%.
Samsung revealed that for the first three months of this year, its sales reached 77,8 trillion won (roughly CZK 1,4 trillion) and operating profit reached 14,12 trillion won (approximately CZK 258,5 billion). The semiconductor division contributed more than half of this profit (specifically 8,5 trillion won, i.e. about 153 billion CZK).

The smartphone division also contributed significantly to the mentioned profit, namely 3,82 trillion won (about 69 billion CZK). In this direction, Samsung was helped by the early introduction of the series Galaxy S22. In this context, the Korean giant pointed out that Galaxy S22 Incredibly , i.e. the top model of the line, did well with fans of the line Galaxy Note, of which it is a spiritual successor. Its mid-range 5G smartphones, tablets and wearables also saw good sales.
