Less than a month after the company Nothing, which is led by the former head of OnePlus Carl Pei, announced that it will introduce its first smartphone in the summer, has now released a beta version of the launcher that offers a taste of the Nothing OS system. It is available for ranks Galaxy S21, S22, but also Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 6.

Nothing Launcher includes a number of features that will be the core of the first Nothing smartphone called Nothing (1). In addition to the phones mentioned above, it should be available for OnePlus devices soon. The Launcher in its current form includes what Pei calls Max Icons and Max Folders. This allows users to press and hold app or folder icons to increase the space they take up on the home screen. The launcher has a minimalistic 4×5 layout and shows several pre-installed Google apps and the signature Nothing wallpaper. Customization options do not reach the level of the popular Nova launcher, and Nothing Launcher takes its inspiration from the "uncomplicated" Pixel Launcher in this regard.

The launcher comes with a variety of unique wallpapers, weather and clock widgets, and ringtones, and also supports third-party icon sets. Unfortunately (hopefully just yet) it doesn't support the popular Google Discover feed. If you own one of the mentioned smartphones, you can download Nothing Launcher here.
