As you may remember, a few months ago Samsung introduced the world's first mobile photo sensor with a resolution of 200 MPx. Although the ISOCELL HP1 is not used by any smartphone yet, the Korean giant is apparently already working on its successor.

According to the website GalaxyClub, citing the SamMobile server, Samsung is developing another 200MPx sensor, the ISOCELL HP3. Although nothing is known about its specifications such as pixel size, optical format or video recording support at the moment, it could come with various improvements.

At the moment, it is not even known in which smartphones the new sensor could appear first. Apparently it won't be in the upcoming flexible phones Galaxy From Fold4 a From Flip4, as the first-named should use a 108MPx main camera, and the second cannot expect such a big improvement in this direction. There have also been reports floating around that the 200MPx sensor will be used by Samsung's next top-of-the-line flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra, however, it is not clear if they meant the alleged ISOCELL HP3, ISOCELL HP1, or actually something completely different.

As for the ISOCELL HP1, it will likely debut in Motorola Frontier and the "super flag" should use it too Xiaomi 12Ultra. It is not known at the moment whether Samsung intends to equip its own smartphones with it.
