This week we reported that the Chinese company ZTE is preparing a smartphone that will boast three rear 64MPx cameras capable of recording 8K video. Now its first render has leaked into the ether and it must be said that it doesn't look bad at all.

From a render that was published on a Chinese social network Weibo, it follows that the Axon 40 Ultra will have a side-curved display with minimal bezels, similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The back is dominated by three large 64MPx sensors. The phone is pictured in gray and black.

The next ZTE "superflag" should otherwise boast an AMOLED display with FHD+ or QHD resolution, a sub-display camera, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal memory and a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 65 W. It will apparently be powered by software Android 12 with the latest version of the MiFavor UI superstructure and with a probability bordering on certainty it will support 5G networks. The very interesting-looking smartphone will be presented together with the Axon 40 and Axon 40 Pro models on May 9.
