Samsung has launched a new microSD card called PRO Endurance. According to him, the card is uniquely designed to meet the strict requirements of security, on-board and body cameras or doorbell cameras.

Built on highly reliable NAND flash memory, the PRO Endurance card can provide up to 16 years (or 140 hours) of continuous recording, according to Samsung. This means that one PRO Endurance card can last as long as up to 160 regular speed-focused cards.

The new Samsung memory card offers read and write speeds of up to 100 MB/s, or 40 MB/s, and ranks in class 10 with video speeds up to U3 (UHS speed class 3) and V30. This makes it ideal for working with large files in high resolution, while allowing smooth recording and playback in FHD and 4K resolutions.

Since outdoor surveillance and body cameras can be exposed to harsh conditions, the card has been designed to provide reliable performance in everyday use with enhanced six-level durability. In addition to traditional protection against water, magnets, X-rays and extreme temperatures, the card now also offers protection against falling and wear. The PRO Endurance card is available in capacities of 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB and its price starts at 11 dollars (roughly 256 CZK). Its global sales have already started and will be available for example here.
