However, if you've never visited Samsung's UK site, you wouldn't know that the company is the official electronics supplier to the British royal family. But the Royal Warrant title is granted for a certain period of time, and this has currently been extended to Samsung. So it's really not a joke.
The title Royal Warrant has been issued since the 15th century and is awarded to companies that supply goods or services to the royal court. The company received its original designation in 2012 and has been supplying the royal family with its products ever since. Samsung is now a recognized supplier of consumer electronics products and will continue to supply the royal household with a wider range of goods and appliances.
