Last week we you informed, that Qualcomm's next flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset (still not an official name, but very likely) will be unveiled in early June, according to a well-known leaker. Now, another well-known leaker has stated that it won't be that soon after all.

According to the usually well-informed Chinese "leaker" who goes by the name Digital Chat Station on social media, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ won't be launched until sometime in the second half of the year. The reason is supposed to be the current epidemic situation in China.

Additionally, Digital Chat Station hinted that the new chip could debut in the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra smartphone. It is also speculated that it could power "flags" Xiaomi 12Ultra or OnePlus 10Ultra and Samsung's flexible phones later in the year Galaxy From Fold4 a From Flip4.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ would have Qualcomm's current flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen1 have one super powerful Cortex-X2 processor core with a clock speed of almost 3 GHz, three powerful Cortex-A710 cores and four economical Cortex-A510 cores and an improved graphics chip. It should offer roughly 10% more overall performance.
