Not long ago, we informed you that Samsung is working on a new 200MPx camera called ISOCELL HP3. According to a new report from South Korea, the company has already completed the development of its latest photo sensor and is now selecting a supplier for it. According to Korean website ETNews, Samsung's component division Samsung Electro-Mechanics will receive 200% of orders for the new 70MPx sensor. The remaining 30% is to be processed by Samsung Electronics and its other partners.

With the final design complete, Samsung is said to be ramping up production of the new sensor to have it ready for its next flagship in 2023. The series models could be the first to specifically use it Galaxy S23, above all the highest model with the nickname Ultra.

Samsung already has one sensor with a resolution of 200 MPx, namely ISOCELL HP1, which, however, is still awaiting deployment in practice. The ISOCELL HP3 is supposed to be an improved version of it, although the details are unknown at the moment. As a reminder, the ISOCELL HP1 can shoot videos in 8K and 4K resolution and boasts features such as advanced HDR or autofocus with Double Super Phase Detection technology.
