The display division of Samsung Display received the "Display of the Year" award from the Society for Information Display (SID) for its Eco² OLED technology. It is the most prestigious award among the display giants, as it is only awarded to products with "the most significant technological advances or exceptional features" each year.

Eco² OLED is Samsung's first ever integrated polarizing OLED panel and debuted in a flexible phone Galaxy From Fold3. The technology has been praised by the SID organization for significantly reducing power requirements and its contribution to enabling the sub-display camera.

Samsung has now shared an updated vision of what future smartphones and tablets with this technology could look like. Its new promotional video, titled Meet amazing techverse in Samsung Display, shows very ambitious concepts, from tri-folding tablets to vertically and horizontally sliding smartphone-tablet hybrids.
