Google presented, among other things, its first smart watch at the recently held Google I/O conference pixel Watch. In doing so, he noted that they require Android 8.0 and later. However, he made no mention of iPhone support.

OS 2 has long required “phones running on Androidfor 6.0 or later (except the lightweight version of Go) or iOS in version 13.0 and later”. Watches Galaxy Watch4 had the same minimum requirement for Android, though Samsung uses its own companion app Galaxy Wearable.

According to a small note at the end of the short clip, which Pixel Watch represents, watches require at least Android 8.0 Oreo from 2017. Google doesn't mention iPhone support. If that means Pixel Watch They don't support iPhones, wouldn't be a big surprise anyway. With the system iOS because they are not compatible either Galaxy Watch4 (it is the first watch ever with Wear OS from 2015 that do not have support for iPhones).

Will this be the case with new third-party watches with Wear OS 3, which will be introduced later this year, is not clear. On the other hand, a watch Apple Watch do not work with phones with Androidem, so removing the iPhone from the list of supported devices would be a natural move for Google.
